The Mountain enjoys the sublime climate of South East Queensland without the summer humidity of the low lands. Statistically it is on average several degrees cooler in Summer than on the Gold Coast.
Once entirely covered in towering rainforest and subsequently lush dairy farms, the area has preserved several important National Parks with extensive walks and lookouts.
